Good News – the long-anticipated Results Report about our Trials Event held earlier this year is now available! A really big “thank you” is due to Dave Jesse (owner of NB Perseverance) for putting together the report – a mammoth amount of work.
At over 60 pages of facts and figures, it is not a quick read, but we are hoping that it will help to prove to sceptics that electric propulsion is a truly viable alternative to traditional diesel engines. It has highlighted to us that several of the tests were not entirely conclusive – as it was our first attempt at organising anything like this, we didn’t have the benefit of hindsight! This leads to more good news – we certainly intend to repeat the trials, hopefully next year, by which time we will have several more hybrid boats potentially able to join in the fun!
