A drizzly start could not dampen the enthusiasm of the eight Ortomarine-built boats that assembled near Worcester Racecourse, all champing at the bit to take part in our Electric Propulsion Trials Event, held on Saturday 29th May.
They all set off in convoy at 09:00, and made a fine sight as they travelled the course upriver to Bevere Lock and thence onto the Droitwich Canals, where they were helped through the locks by a willing band of Ortomarine owners and future owners, friends and family. The flotilla kept records of battery and diesel usage throughout the trip and also performed a few physical tests as they arrived back at Droitwich Spa Marina.
