Please forgive the lack of recent updates to our website – purely down to how busy we have been over the past 6 months. Here are some highlights of what we have failed to report!
Eau Rouge was sold to Mhairi and David Middleton (from South Africa) in April 2018. The Middletons have been cruising around the network since April, enjoying the incredibly good weather so far this summer!
We have completed 4 boats so far this year:
- “Debbie” a 58’6″ Cruiser Stern, traditional layout narrowboat for Marine Cruises, based at Swanley Bridge Marina.
- “Master Riley” a 58’6″ semi-trad, 5 berth, for Derek & Jackie Hacker, now moored at Droitwich Spa Marina, a modern reverse layout narrowboat with a pullman-style dinette and built-in curved sofa-bed.
- “Sloop John T” a 57′ semi-trad for John & Jo Tripp, taken as our show boat to the Crick Boat Show in May, featuring our new multi-function duplex dinette, now moored at Kingfisher Marina near Milton Keynes.
- “Mokoro” a 60’6″ semi-trad, traditional layout, 6 berth narrowboat for Guy & Sally Campbell, also now moored at Droitwich Spa Marina
Currently in our workshop is our next Hybrid powered boat, this is called “Watt Knot” and the owners are actually from Australia – they love the UK canal network and plan to move over here for a couple of years to explore it further, if they can cope with the winter weather over here!
