Earlier this year, you may recall that Ortomarine took delivery of the last ever hull from Alexander Boat Builders. Well, we are now happy to report that that hull has been transformed and was launched successfully at Droitwich Spa Marina on 19th July 2023. We were pleased that Jim Sparkes was able to be at the Marina to see the launch of his final boat.
‘Electric Dragon’ is a 60ft serial hybrid narrowboat with a popular semi-cruiser style stern and is the ninth serial hybrid, and the second dragon in our Ortomarine fleet!
Bill & Karen Earl are the proud new owners, they named their new boat in memory of Karen’s mum, Pat, who named herself as “The Dragon” to Bill when they married 39 years ago. Bill assures us that a friendlier dragon you could not hope to meet!
