Just before Christmas we completed “Adventure”, a 54ft x 10ft widebeam, all-electric, day-trip boat for the Cotswold Canals Trust. The launch took place at Sharpness Docks – a really big thank you to Barry Tuckey for his expertise with the craning in to the water of our first widebeam. Thanks also to Rob Burgen, the Project Manager from the Cotswold Canals Trust who it was a pleasure to work with, and to the rest of the Trust for choosing us to build their boat!
The official launch will not be until the Spring when the boat will be put into operation on the Gloucester to Sharpness Canal. She is specifically designed to carry less able passengers, via the large wheelchair lift on the bow deck, with dropped gunwales allowing great visibility whilst seated in the cabin.
