Our first new boat launch of 2022 took place on 9th February – Helen and Russel Green are the proud new owners of “Professor Pat Pending”, a 58ft Serial Electric Hybrid narrowboat. Those of you who are old enough to remember The Wacky Races cartoon, will understand where the name comes from. They specifically designed the external paintwork themselves to feature lots of traditional features, disguising the boat’s high-tech engineering! Helen and Russel plan to continuously cruise around the canal network, with their dog “Precious”, and we are looking forward to capturing data from their travels, to populate our ever-growing database of electric propulsion data.
