After the Crick Boat Show, we decided to cruise Clara Scintilla back to her home mooring at Droitwich Spa Marina, rather than take her by road. This trip of approximately 65 miles proved to be an excellent “Test Drive”. We’re pleased to say that apart from a few incidents with hire boats and strong winds – the trip was a great success. We roped family and friends in along the way to help with all the locks. The final day (Saturday 24th June) was the longest and most demanding – 45 locks in one day – when we travelled from Alvechurch Marina to Droitwich.
